Privacy Policy
Personal data (usually referred to just as "data" below) will only be processed by us to the extent necessary and for the purpose of providing a functional and user-friendly website, including its contents, and the services offered there.
Per Art. 4 No. 1 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, i.e. the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter referred to as the "GDPR"), "processing" refers to any operation or set of operations such as collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation, alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination, or otherwise making available, alignment, or combination, restriction, erasure, or destruction performed on personal data, whether by automated means or not.
The following privacy policy is intended to inform you in particular about the type, scope, purpose, duration, and legal basis for the processing of such data either under our own control or in conjunction with others. We also inform you below about the third-party components we use to optimize our website and improve the user experience which may result in said third parties also processing data they collect and control.
I. Information about us as controllers of your data
The controller responsible for the processing of personal data on this website within the meaning of data protection law is Nedovescu + Mot – mots GbR (see Imprint above for address and further details).
Data protection contact: If you have questions about data protection or would like to exercise your rights under the GDPR, please contact us at office@mots.us.
II. The rights of users and data subjects
With regard to the data processing to be described in more detail below, users and data subjects have the right
- to confirmation of whether data concerning them is being processed, information about the data being processed, further information about the nature of the data processing, and copies of the data (cf. also Art. 15 GDPR);
- to correct or complete incorrect or incomplete data (cf. also Art. 16 GDPR);
- to the immediate deletion of data concerning them (cf. also Art. 17 DSGVO), or, alternatively, if further processing is necessary as stipulated in Art. 17 Para. 3 GDPR, to restrict said processing per Art. 18 GDPR;
- to receive copies of the data concerning them and/or provided by them and to have the same transmitted to other providers/controllers (cf. also Art. 20 GDPR);
- to file complaints with the supervisory authority if they believe that data concerning them is being processed by the controller in breach of data protection provisions (see also Art. 77 GDPR).
In addition, the controller is obliged to inform all recipients to whom it discloses data of any such corrections, deletions, or restrictions placed on processing the same per Art. 16, 17 Para. 1, 18 GDPR. However, this obligation does not apply if such notification is impossible or involves a disproportionate effort. Nevertheless, users have a right to information about these recipients.
Likewise, under Art. 21 GDPR, users and data subjects have the right to object to the controller's future processing of their data pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. In particular, an objection to data processing for the purpose of direct advertising is permissible.
We do not "sell" or "share" your personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration. You have the right to request the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the right to delete that information, and the right to opt-out of the "sharing" of your information for cross-contextual behavioral advertising.
III. Information about the data processing
Your data processed when using our website will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose for its storage ceases to apply, provided the deletion of the same is not in breach of any statutory storage obligations or unless otherwise stipulated below.
For users in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland: some of our service providers (e.g., Google, Vimeo) are located in the United States. We ensure a level of data protection comparable to the GDPR by utilizing the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or, where necessary, the EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Server data
For technical reasons, the following data sent by your internet browser to us or to our server provider will be collected, especially to ensure a secure and stable website. These server log files record the type and version of your browser, operating system, the website from which you came (referrer URL), the webpages on our site visited, the date and time of your visit, as well as the IP address from which you visited our site.
The data thus collected will be temporarily stored, but not in association with any other of your data.
The basis for this storage is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the improvement, stability, functionality, and security of our website.
The data will be deleted within no more than seven days, unless continued storage is required for evidentiary purposes. In which case, all or part of the data will be excluded from deletion until the investigation of the relevant incident is finally resolved.

We use cookies and similar technologies. Some are strictly necessary to provide the website and to remember settings you request. Others are used for analytics (Google Analytics) and for embedded media (Vimeo).
Where required by applicable law (e.g., EU/EEA/UK and Germany), we only set non-essential cookies and load third-party embedded media after you have given your consent. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time via “Privacy settings” (link provided on the website).
a) Functional / necessary cookies
These cookies are required for core features or to store settings you request. The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing a functional, secure website) and, where applicable, Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b) GDPR (performance of a contract / pre-contractual steps).
Example (may vary depending on configuration and browser settings): soundon (mots.us): stores whether voice playback is on/off.
b) Analytics cookies (Google Analytics)
These cookies help us understand how our website is used. Where required by law, the legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a) GDPR).

If you register for our free mailing list, the data requested from you for this purpose, i.e. your email address and, optionally, your name and address, will be sent to us. We also store the IP address of your computer and the date and time of your registration. During the registration process, we will obtain your consent to receive emails from us and the type of content it will offer, with reference made to this privacy policy. The data collected will be used exclusively to send these emails and may be processed by service providers acting on our behalf (processors) for email delivery/hosting.
The legal basis for this is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a) GDPR.
You may revoke your prior consent to receive this mailing list under Art. 7 Para. 3 GDPR with future effect. All you have to do is inform us that you are revoking your consent and your data will be deleted from our mailing list database.

Your data will be deleted once we have fully answered your inquiry and there is no further legal obligation to store your data, such as if an order or contract resulted therefrom.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics on our website. This is a web analytics service provided by Google (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; for users outside the EU/EEA, the relevant Google entity may apply).
The Google Analytics service is used to analyze how our website is used. Where required by applicable law (e.g., EU/EEA/UK and Germany), the legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a) GDPR). If consent is not required in a particular jurisdiction, processing may be based on our legitimate interests in the analysis, optimization, and economic operation of our site (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR).
Usage and user-related information, such as IP address, place, time, or frequency of your visits to our website may be transmitted to Google servers (including in the United States) and processed there. We use Google Analytics with IP anonymization where supported/configured so that Google truncates the IP address within the EU or the EEA before transmission to the US. Where personal data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (where applicable) and/or Standard Contractual Clauses with supplementary measures (where applicable).
Google states that it will not connect your IP address to other data. In addition, Google provides further information with regard to its data protection practices at https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/partners.
In addition, Google offers an opt-out add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
Vimeo
We use Vimeo on our website.
This is a video portal operated by Vimeo.com, Inc., 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA (hereinafter “Vimeo”).
On pages where Vimeo videos are embedded, content is loaded from Vimeo (e.g., via player.vimeo.com). Where required by applicable law (e.g., EU/EEA/UK and Germany), the legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a) GDPR).
For the purpose of functionality and analysis of usage behavior, Vimeo may store cookies on your device via your browser (e.g., “vuid” and “player”).
When you visit a page with an embedded Vimeo video, the Vimeo player may load automatically.
If you do not agree to this processing, you can refuse consent via the consent banner / privacy settings (where implemented) and/or prevent the installation of cookies by making the appropriate settings in your browser. Further details can be found in the section about cookies above. If you are logged in to Vimeo when you access our site, Vimeo may assign the connection information to your Vimeo account. To prevent this, you must either log out of Vimeo before visiting our site or make the appropriate settings in your Vimeo account.
When Vimeo content is loaded, a connection to Vimeo servers (including in the USA) may be established. This is required in order to display the respective video on our website within your browser. Vimeo may record and process at a minimum your IP address, the date and time the video was displayed, as well as the website you visited.
