Deutsch / Nicht Deutsch wins the 2005 Lumen Prize Experiential Award

We’re honored to receive the 2025 Lumen Prize Experiential Award for Deutsch/Nicht Deutsch. With 15 other amazing finalists in our category, it feels surreal to be recognized.

The Lumen Prize, the international award celebrates the best in art created with technology, held its 14th annual awards at Kunstsilo in Kristiansand, Norway on November 8th and handed out 13 awards in total. You can check out all the winning projects on the Lumen Prize site, big congrats to everyone!

This year was impressive: a record 2,200+ submissions from 71 countries, narrowed down to 99 finalists. The shortlist came from the Prize’s largest-ever International Selectors Committee, 85+ experts from places like the V&A, Tate, Sotheby’s, Christie’s, Google, NVIDIA, Sónar +D, and the Onassis Foundation. Final winners were chosen by a jury from the V&A, PHI, Furtherfield, and Goldsmiths.

We were too stunned to take photos, so huge thanks to friends—old and new—who captured the moment for us:
